William H. Lash, III, U.S. Assistant Secretary of
Commerce today in Cleveland listened to senior
executives from ComSense Technology and Orbital
Research discuss their plans for local manufacturing,
investment, and overseas sales. He also offered advice
and assistance in developing future marketing
relationships in Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim.
Both of these growing, high-tech companies are located
on Euclid Avenue.

ComSense is commercializing
innovative high-temperature pressure sensors for harsh
environments that enable more precise control of
diesel, gasoline, and turbine engines. The sensor is
part of an on-board computer system that will improve
fuel economy, reduce emissions and give mechanics
better diagnostic tools. ComSense Technology is a
spin-off from Orbital Research Inc, a highly regarded
and recognized high-technology R&D leader in northeast
Ohio.
